About Us

This facility is co-owned by Maribel and Carol Hadnot, a mother and daughter powerful duo. Carol has the same passion and love her mother carries in her heart for every kid that comes through the doors. She has a genuine enjoyment of working with kids and her energetic personality is contagious. From the time she was a little girl, Maribel dreamed of finding a way to help parents and children have a place that will meet their needs while becoming a safe haven in this high-demand world we're in.

Maribel spent 9 years as a Deputy for the Sheriff’s Department, a position that helped her fund and complete the educational training needed to reach her dream. To gain experience in the field, she began by volunteering in early childhood programs throughout the YMCA and has spent the last 20 years working in children’s ministry, Sunday school department, she served as the youth group director at her church and presently serves with her husband in the Marriage Ministry department. She is also a mother of eight and a grandmother of 8. She has an AA degree in Early Childhood Education, an AA degree in Child development Master Teacher, and a Site Supervisor. She also had a certificate in Early Intervention and Inclusion in Child development. She is presently completing her Bachelors in Child development with teaching credentials.

With all this experience helping young people and their families, Maribel’s dream finally came true in October 1999 with the opening of Little Bears Preschool & Daycare. The next 20 plus years were made a reality with the support of my amazing husband, Jerry.
