DESCRIPTION:Oceanside\, CA - Support a San Diego Landmark\, enjoy a magical evening to weave a tale of yesteryear and the future at the 26th Annual Heritage Ball 2009. The Mission San Luis Rey invites all to experience the beauty and history of the grounds\, architecture and legacy built into the fabric of the San Diego community.\n\nThis 200+ landmark will be host to the annual gala to take place Saturday\, August 29th\, 2009\, 6pm to midnight. Attendees will have access to private areas of Mission San Luis Rey as they stroll through the historic church to the rose gardens and past the first Pepper Tree in California.\n\nThe evening will begin with a Patron Reception in the Sacred Garden at 6pm combined with a silent auction and opportunity drawing. Community partner\, Hunter's Steakhouse\, will join the Mission staff to create a delectable dinner that will be served on the Heritage Lawn in the center of the Mission grounds. In an effort to support the Mission's vision to supporting slow food and sustainability\, the vegetables and floral arrangements will be provided directly from the Mission's own organic garden. Dancing under the stars until midnight will follow the program. Tickets are limited and go quickly.\n\nTickets\, ad space and sponsorships are still available for the evening.
