Many families in our area have experienced financial strain in the recent times and could use some community support in making their holiday season special. Helping Hands aims to provide a warm holiday meal\, clothing\, blankets\, haircuts\, and backpacks filled with hygiene items. Transportation is also provided\, however it is limited. \n\n Date: Thursday 11/24/2011\n\n Time: Registration begins at 10:30 am. Meal will be served at 12 noon. \n\n Location: 1132 N. Melrose Ave.\, Vista\, CA 92083\n\n We are asking for contributions from the community at-large to help offset the cost of these items. Non-perishable food\, hygiene items\, blankets and backpacks would be greatly appreciated. Monetary contributions are also an effective way to support the event. Helping Hands is a 501C (3) IRS tax-exempt not-for-profit organization\; all charitable donations are tax deductible. You can also help by volunteering your time the day-of the event to drive\, set-up\, serve\, and/or clean up.
