DESCRIPTION:Hey kids! Join us for a pre-Thanksgiving 1-mile Turkey Trot and receive a custom Turkey Trot t-shirt! Make your run extra fun and come dressed up in your favorite Turkey or festive Thanksgiving attire!\n\n \nGeneral Public Can Attend\n\nKids Turkey Trot is now open to the general public with the following stipulations:\n\n\n	Those without base access must do one of the following:Arrange to be sponsored by an authorized base patron to obtain a visitors pass.\n	Arrange to be escorted in on race morning by an authorized base patron.\n	Sign up for the race\, bring your confirmation email (printed or on your phone)\, Real ID or passport\, car insurance\, and vehicle registration to the Visitor Center prior to event day to obtain a 1-day pass.\n\n\nOther Restrictions\n\n\n	You will need to pass a background check (at the Visitor Center) to obtain a visitor pass.\n	Those under the age of 18 cannot obtain a visitor pass and must be escorted on base.\n	Those in possession of a visitor pass cannot escort another adult who doesn't have a pass.\n\n\nPlease do not register for the run unless these requirements have been coordinated. Patrons who don't make arrangements or obtain a pass to enter Camp Pendleton will be turned away and no refund will be issued.\n\nThe Camp Pendleton Visitor Center is located in BLDG 20255T\, adjacent to the Main Gate near I-5.\n\nBusiness hours are: Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm.\n\nDue to the large demand for visitor passes\, please obtain your pass as soon as you register to avoid being turned away due to extended waiting times or unforeseen closures. Usually\, the best time to come is first thing in the morning. Avoid Fridays as that day is always extremely busy.

LOCATION:Main Gate I-5 Northbound Take the Camp Pendleton exit. I-5 Southbound Take the Camp Pendleton/Harbor Drive exit and turn left. Enter the main gate and continue on Vandegrift for approximately 10 miles. The 11 Area Field will be on your left next to Paige Field House gym. Turn left at 13th Street to access the Paige Field House parking lot. San Luis Rey Gate Enter the gate and proceed approximately 3 miles on Vandegrift. The 11 Area Field will be on your right just past the Paige Field House gym. Turn right at 13th Street to access the Paige Field House parking lot.
