DESCRIPTION:MiraCosta Horticulture Club Meeting The Mira Costa Horticulture Club is meeting on Saturday\, October 6th. at 12:30 p.m.\, MiraCosta College\, 1 Barnard Dr.\, Oceanside\, CA 92056\, Bldg 3400\, Azatlan Rooms A and B on 2nd floor above book store. Eileen Ford will give a hands-on workshop decorating pumpkins for the holidays. Bring your own pumpkin. Other supplies will be provided by the club. The main program is a presentation on "Preserving Rose Genetics" by John Bagnasco\, president of The California Rose Society and Garden Life Radio Show. John has over 1\,000 rare roses on his half-acre Fallbrook garden. We are also gathering food for Mira Costa Students\, many have little money to buy food. Please bring foods that can be enjoyed without a kitchen\, can opener\, or other implements. Top ramen cups\, canned soup or chili with pull tab tops\, easy open tuna\, granola bars\, microwaveable Kraft Mac n Cheese cups\, trail mix are the sorts of things that are in high demand.
