SUMMARY:MiraCosta Horticulture Club Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The MiraCosta Horticulture Club will meet September 10th at 12:30PM\, at MiraCosta College\, One Barnard Dr.\, Oceanside\, Student Center Bldg. 3400\, Aztlan Rooms A & B 2nd Floor.  The workshop will be given by Betty Huston on plants you can use to repel mosquitos.  She will have some examples of the plants and some may be in the raffle at the end of the meeting!   Our main speaker is Jeff Moore\, Owner of Solana Succulents who will talk about his latest book\, 'Aloes and Agaves in Cultivation." He may bring some plants for sale and his book for sale and signing.  You may have seen Jeff's outstanding design work at the San Diego Botanical Garden.  He designed the "seascape" adjacent to the parking lot.   After the main speaker is done there will be a plant raffle. The meetings generally finish around 3PM.  The meeting is open to the public. Our next meetings will be on the first Saturday of the month so you can plan for that.  We will have some excellent and informative speakers and member workshops.
