Faith Lutheran Church in Vista will begin their 10th annual 9/11/2001 observation with a 26 hour prayer vigil beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday September 10th and ending at 11:00 am on Sunday September 11th.
The vigil, now in its 2nd year is offered as a community outreach offering an opportunity to remember those who lost on 9/11/2001.
Faith Lutheran Church is one of only a few organizations in North County that offers an annual place for the community at large to come for this two day event. Over 100 flags will be on display, including the Flag of Honor, bearing the names of all that died due to the terrorist attacks, and a Flag of Heroes, bearing the names of all police and firefighters that were killed when trying to help others.
The outdoor vigil will be staffed from Saturday 9:00 am - Sunday at 11 am. Hot coffee, hot tea, homemade cookies, and conversation is available to all those who stop/drive by.
Following the vigil on Saturday an All American BBQ commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11/2001 will be held on the campus at Faith Lutheran Church
