2012 Human Trafficking Awareness Walk
Soroptimist International of Vista will sponsor its 5th Annual Human Trafficking Awareness Event and Walk on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 1-4 pm at Arbor Corner in Vista (corner of Main Street and Indiana). A $10 donation is requested but not required.
Manolo Guillen from IPS (Institute for Public Strategies) will be among our guest speakers. He is the producer/director of the documentary "Indoctrinated: The Grooming of our Children into Prostitution."
A local band, "Paper Tiger," will again donate their time and talent. A 1-mile wak to the Wave Waterpark Circle and back will follow the program.
Human Trafficking in all its forms is on a global rampage. San Diego County ranks 8th in the U.S. in reported cases. Not only is this an international disgrace, but it is occuring right now, right in our backyard with our own children at risk.
Join us to learn more and learn how you can participate in our efforts to abate and erase these crimes against human rights.
