AGSEM UNASSISTED TRIPLE PLAY
FIBER ARTS FIESTA
GEM & MINERAL FAIR
ANTIQUE CLOCK COLLECTORS MINI-MART
On Saturday and Sunday, the 3rd & 4th of October, visitors to the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM) in Vista, CA will be treated to a rare event: three (3) separate shows, displaying the arts and talents of weavers, gemologists, and clock aficionados.
First, there's the FIBER ARTS FIESTA at the Weaver's Barn. With over 50 weaving looms and 40 Spinning Wheels dating back to the Civil War, the Weaver's Barn is a treasure trove of historical gems for all to see. Of course, the Weaver's will be there showing off their creations and talents, including “how to” ideas.
Second, the Vista Gem & Mineral Society is having their semi-annual GEM & MINERAL FAIR. Everything from rare gems, jewelry, rocks, beads, and books from over 40 members will be on display and sale. Great discounted show pricing plus a raffle on Sunday, including a large amethyst cathedral.
Third, Palomar Chap. 136 of the National Assoc. of Watch & Clock Collectors will have their 3rd annual ANTIQUE CLOCK COLLECTORS MINI-MART at the Farmhouse. A wide selection of clocks and parts, not to mention associated memorabilia, will be on display.
For others who may be along for the ride, there’s Wagon Rides, and a chance to operate model trains at the Short Track RR Section House. The nationally renowned Blacksmith Shop will be in operation, so stop in. And all of the time, there's plenty of time to shop for that ideal holiday gift; gems, woven goods or clocks.
Lunch and picnic space is plentiful. Bring your own or take advantage of the on site AGSEM food vendors.
