San Diego County Library will screen the documentary, "The Bracero Program," at 3 pm March 17 at the Vista Branch, 700 Eucalyptus Avenue. Part of California Reads, a statewide program developed by Cal Humanities in collaboration with California Center for the Book, to examine the meaning and nature of democracy, the film documents the historical accounts of minorities, workers and immigrants who experienced the temporary contract worker program known as the Bracero Program from 1942 to 1964.
