Located in a lemon grove in Alta Mesa near Rancho Cucamonga and listed in the National Historical Register, is the Sam Maloof Home. Sam passed away at the age of 93 in May of 2009, but left a phenomenal legacy in wood. Originally prized for their simplicity and practicality, and now for their beauty and timelessness, many of Sam's pieces have found their way into museums such as the Met in New York City. We'll have a docent-lead tour of the home, where we'll see and learn the history of that wonderful, creative, and generous man, Sam Maloof. We'll have lunch at Mimi's Cafe and then it's off to the Graber Olive House. Once there, we'll have a tour of the packing house, olive trees, a tasting, and a visit to the gift shop...you'll see that a tree provides more than just shade!
