MiraCosta Horticulture Club Meeting

Workshop: 12-12:40 pm Karan Cooper Greenwald will give a workshop on heirloom tomatoes and there will be some available to buy.

Program: 12:45 pm Pierre Sielman, 28 year old founder and CEO of Encinitas based Go Green Agriculture, a state of the art hydroponics farm recognized by the White House in July as one of the several "Champion of Change". He is expanding his 2+ acre facility to 5 acres in September and expects to double his production to 500,000 heads of butter lettuce, spinach and kale per month, 12 months a year. He will speak on "The challenges, development and future of Go Green Agriculture". After the speaker there will be refreshments and an opportunity drawing.
