Join Vista Buddhist Temple’s Obon Festival, a gathering of joy and remembrance. Obon is a special occasion for Japanese Americans and Jodo Shinshu Buddhists. It is a time to remember those who have come before us and to reflect with deep gratitude on how their lives made our own possible. Enjoy exciting performances of taiko and koto. Join a lesson on Japanese phrases. Discover the teachings of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism. Savor delicious homestyle Japanese foods and shop for local plants and produce. Stay for the very popular Bon Odori dancing - everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate! Free admission and parking. The festival will take place July 25 & 26 from 2pm - 8pm.
