Palm Springs Tram and Tour

Culture Caravan will start the day with the "best show on cable" as you board a Swiss-made rotation cable car. You'll be lifted from the desert floor to the 8,500 foot elevation of Mt. San Jacinto in a spectacular 10 min ride. Palm Trees and the sandy desert give way to soaring mountains and pinescented air. Your spirit of adventure will be rewarded with on eof the most spectacular views of the Coachella Valley. You'll disembark at the Mountain Station, which has a gift shop, cocktail lounge, cafe, observation areas, and a 22 minute film on the history of the Tramway. You'll have some time to explore and take photos before climbing back aboard the tram for your descent. Lunch is our next stop at the Spa Resort Casino Hotel. The buffet features international and traditional food plus a salad and dessert bar. After lunch a step on guide will meet us for a tour in and around Palm Spings. History, stories, fascinating facts, celebrity homes, landmarks and a special treat awaits us on this 1 1/2 hour tour. You'll see just what brings so many folks to this desert oasis.
