The New California Industrial General Permit – Opportunity for Training from Storm Water Experts
Due to the success of recent workshops on IGP compliance, and the positive feedback received, Tory R. Walker Engineering is now offering a “regional” workshop to the North County cities of Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, and Oceanside. The workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 14th from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at the City of San Marcos Community Services Main Hall, 3 Civic Center Drive, San Marcos, CA 92078. Business owners and managers are encouraged to attend to find out the goals of the IGP, which businesses are subject to the IGP and what they need to do to comply.
Even if you believe your industrial activities are not exposed to storm water, you may still be required to file a No Exposure Certification (NEC) by October 1, 2015. Failure to file for IGP coverage is considered noncompliance. It is not too late to hear from the experts and receive valuable information that will help you avoid confusion and potential fines.
