Make the First Step Towards
a Greener Organization
This workshop will cover the definitions of sustainability and its most common principles, especially those of The Natural Step. The facilitator will then introduce the concepts of The Triple Bottom Line and use them to show the importance of Environment, Economy, and Social Equity to promote sustainability in any social or business endeavor. Particular emphasis will be on economy, and its role in providing lasting, financially rewarding, sustainable development, especially in small businesses and non-profits. Throughout the workshop, the promise of clean technology and a green economy will provide motivation for sustainable development within organizations.
We will also have speakers from the San Diego County Water Authority and Waste Management to go over rebates and incentives for small businesses as well as ways organizations can be more energy efficient.
