'Sofa' play to be staged

The play "Life of a Sofa" will be performed at 7:30 pm Wednesday through Saturday and at 2 pm Saturday and Sunday through December 18 at the Broadway Theater, 340 E. Broadway. The play consists of 10 individual vignettes, spanning 100 years as the sofa is sold and re-sold to people across the country. Vignettes, set at Christmas time beginning in 1910 and running through the 1960's, are somtimes hysterical and done tongue in cheek, while others are touching and thought-provoking.
