Tri-City Medical Center Hosts Free Breast Cancer Wellness Fair

"Busting Breast Health Myths" The Edger and Jo Anne Jones Women's  Diagnostic Center at Tri-City Medical Center is hosting a comprehensive wellness fair to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Dozens of specialists will assemble on Wednesday, October 26 from 12 to 4 pm to provide education and demonstrations on breast health, from screenings to self-exams to properly sized bras. Consultants from Hanes Brands at the Carlsbad Premium Outlets will address bra fitting issues, conduct sizings, recommend appropriate products based on each women's body type and provide coupons to make switching to the right bra more affordable. Trainers from Tri-City Wellness Center will educate women about cancer fitness through nutrition and exercise. Men and women can expect to learn about breast cancer self-exams. The fair will also offer blood pressure checks and introductions to support groups for breast cancer patients and survivors, with valuable gift bags and exciting raffles throughout the day.
