Vista Viking festival
See Viking encampments, sword battles and at night, flaming axes! Learn to throw axes, spears or shoot arrows. Are you game to test your strength? Try the always popular Viking Log Toss. Or take part in contests like the Famous Fish Fling, Battle Cry, Horn Blowing or Most Fearsome Beard Competitions.
Enjoy live music, Viking/Celtic style, on two stages. Scheduled to appear: Highland Way, The Dread Crew of Oddwood, Raggle Taggle, Odin’s Drummers, the comedy of the Bawdy Juggler and new this year, Scottish music duo, The Fire.
Feast on Nordic food throughout the grounds. And in our two beer gardens, quench your thirst with local handcrafted ale or mead, some brewed exclusively for our festival.
KidZone offers painting of shields and swords, jumping in the Bouncy Castle, Face Painting, Rune Quest and more! Enter the nearby Norway Hall for Fresh Lefse, Meatball Meals, Norwegian Cookies, Scandinavian Crafts, Genealogy Table and non-alcoholic beverages.
Search Vendors’ Village and Peddler’s Path for authentic Viking helmets, drinking horns, mugs, swords, jewelry and Valkyrie attire. Discover Vikings in the Northern Territory cooking meals, carving spoons, playing games, dying yarn, weaving cloth and baking bread in clay ovens. There is always something new for you to discover at the Vista Viking Festival.
