Woman's Club of Vista @ Night Evening Meeting - January 2025

In January, our program will celebrate art with watercolors where we’ll be guided by Kene Lohmann from the Escondido Art Association to create our very own watercolor paintings.

We’ll also be in our new home at Shadowridge Golf Club. You will get to choose from three dinner entrees, and special dietary needs will be honored. The bar will also be available for those of you who would like a cocktail with dinner.

About the Speaker:

Born and raised in North San Diego County, Kene Lohmann grew up painting since early childhood, developing his passion for watercolor. He was privileged to study under noted San Diego County water colorist, Thelma Speed Houston.

Kene later spent a number of years in Hawaii, where he continued to study, paint and exhibit his works. His colorful landscapes invite the viewer into the painting for a visual escape.

His love of nature and the world around us is captured in his works that dazzle the eye with their intense color palette. “I strive for that emotional reaction connecting the viewer to my work,” states the artist.

Kene’s watercolors are treasured in many private collections throughout the United States and Europe. His watercolors have earned numerous awards in juried shows and exhibitions.
