Flexible Early-Intervention SLP Position at a Local SLP-Owned Practice! RPE/CF's welcome!
SALARY RANGE:  $65-$80/year depending on experience and hours per week

Owner Colleen Ashford MS CCC-SLP, is looking to grow her team again with an early-intervention (0-3years) in-home SLP! All clients will be referred by the San Diego Regional Center- the office manages the schedule. 

This early intervention job is different because it's salaried! Whether you work 32 or 40 hours per week - never worry about paycheck fluctuations because your salary includes paperwork time, drive time, lunch and cancellations. Fully licensed SLPs can work just 4 days a week if they prefer and be available for school pick-up and drop off of their own children. Clients reside in Vista, Oceanside, San Marcos and Carlsbad. Paperwork can be done from home. 

32 hours: 19 client appointments
40 hours: 24 client appointments (CFs must work 40 hours per week)

The right candidate will be comfortable conducting all evaluations and therapy in family homes of all kinds, believe in the mission of early-intervention to reach all children who require therapeutic services regardless of income, family immigration status, or other factors, and understand their critical role in breaking down barriers to access by providing Regional-Center-funded in-home therapy.  Ashford Speech and Advocacy P.C. serves many Spanish-speaking families; bilingualism is required. SLPs will engage in company-paid continuing education on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. Our employees get their own copy of the REEL-4, locking file-box, access to the owners large selection of materials, free printing for client-related materials and an 5G capable iPad with keyboard for documentation on our EMR-Simple Practice. 

 

Skills

  • Experience with pediatric populations.

  • Ability to explain evaluation results in parent-friendly terms.

  • Skill in routine-based and play-based early intervention strategies.

  • Willingness to grow in parent-coaching skills (training provided)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High level of Spanish proficiency 
  • ?California SLP Licensure (RPE okay)

  • Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle
