About Us
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista (BGCV) is to empower every Club member through safe and impactful experiences, to graduate high school with a plan for college or a career, contribute to their community, and live a healthy life. BGCV’s vision is to be Vista's premier youth organization. Established in 1963, BGCV meets the needs of over 1,900 youth ages 5-18 in Vista and Oceanside. Club services benefit families immensely by providing youth development programming in a safe, structured place for children to spend critical after-school hours while their parents work. BGCV is open “when kids need us most” – after school, on most school holidays and during the summer. Club programs help kids build healthy habits for life and learn how to be resilient leaders through mentorship, accountability, and modeling of good behavior.
BGCV offers a consistent, nationally recognized curriculum from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, along with homegrown, intentional programs that keep kids on track for academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles. Programs include:
