Starting Wage

$68,640 to $75,000 depending on experience

Location

Hybrid (must work on-site 1 day per week and as needed at our Headquarters in Vista, CA)

Responsibilities:

  • Provides print production support for domestic and international design requests (e.g. labels, bar soap wrappers, displays, outer cases, gift sets, etc.) including strategic input on messaging, creative brief development, proofreading, and ensuring print specifications are being met.
  • Communicates with vendors to obtain quotes and timelines for approval by project stakeholders.
  • Performs quality control in accordance with logo/style guides for domestic and international projects.
  • Gathers edits & changes needed on existing and/or new projects, organizes these in a succinct manner, and posts needs and any other further updates & edits on Project Management Systems for the Design team.
  • Assists with cross-departmental approvals of artwork and in distributing approved files to print partners.
  • Proactively evaluates project deliverables and ensures they are on time and of high quality.
  • Maintains trackers for all labels, print production materials and/or packaging projects. Continuously tracks at which stage all projects are in and helps prioritize or fast-track projects as needed. Communicates any timeline adjustments to stakeholders.
  • Helps to develop and manage the production of Point of Sales (POS) Displays. Collaborates with R&D to ensure functionality and durability during transportation and across various environments.
  • Assists with the implementation of packaging plans and strategic projects.
  • Evaluates the success of new/improved POS packaging in market by reviewing sales data and customer/retailer feedback.
  • Researches and compares different print & packaging options and materials (e.g. corrugate, cardstock, labels, inks, adhesives, etc.) that may help improve profit margins, maximize production efficiency, and/or meet company sustainability goals.
  • Compares print production options to assist in special or short label runs (e.g. digital printers, in-house printers, etc.) to help minimize waste.
  • Advises on color management and provides recommendations on print production materials; Attends press checks to ensure that color, quality, branding, etc. are all met.
  • Continue education to update job knowledge; and participate in training programs that focus on print/packaging production and data-analytical skills.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in print/packaging production, visual merchandising/POS, branding, design, marketing or related field.
  • 3 years of packaging production experience within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company, packaging design firm, agency or printing services facility.
  • Experienced with project management, including tracking a project from concept to completion.
  • Experience using project management software.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.)
