It’s a Double Win for the Vista Chamber!

(VISTA, CA - February 12, 2025) - The Vista Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce today that it is the winner of not one, but two prestigious awards from the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE). WACE is the premier organization for education and professional development for chamber executives and staff while representing more than 450 Chambers. The Chamber is also being recognized as an exemplary 3C Chamber – meaning it is a catalyst, convener or champion due to its outstanding performance in a core competency area.
 
The Chamber won in the category of Best Newsletter/Magazine (Small Chamber) for its quarterly Vista Magazine. The award recognizes the Chamber’s commitment to keeping the community informed and engaged through top-notch communication and was evaluated based on the quality of the following criteria:
Photos * Alerts to members * Communicating the chamber core competencies * Headlines and copy 
* Photo captions * Editorial style * Editorial content * People intensive * General design and Production.
 
The second award is in the category of Outstanding Chamber Program. The Chamber won for its Velocity Summer Internship Program, which partners local high school students with chamber member businesses to earn hands-on career experiences. Judges awarded the Vista Chamber because the Internship Program not only met and exceeded the goals established, but it has the ability to be replicated by other chambers. It also proved to fit in one or more of the following competencies:
 
Strengthening the Local Economy * Promoting & Improving the Community * Political Action
* Representing Interests of Business with Government * Networking & Building Business Relationships.
 
74 students participated in the Internship Program in 2024 with more businesses and students expected to register for this year. Applications will be available starting in March.
