San Marcos, CA — Palomar Performing Arts is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield; Directed by Michael Mufson.
This fast-paced, hilarious, and irreverent take on Shakespeare’s entire body of work will be performed live at Palomar College's Howard Brubeck Theatre, promising audiences an unforgettable experience filled with laughter and energy. This production will be presented on October 4 – 13, 2024, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the Howard Brubeck Theatre.
This updated and reimagined version of the beloved comedy The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again] condenses the Bard’s 37 plays into a whirlwind 90-minute performance. Whether you are a seasoned Shakespeare fan or completely new to his works, this production is sure to entertain. The play combines physical comedy, improvisation, and witty wordplay, showcasing Shakespeare’s timeless brilliance through a fresh and playful lens.
Director Michael Mufson brings his visionary touch to this production. With decades of directing experience and a passion for innovative theater, Mufson promises to lead his talented cast of Palomar College students in delivering a performance that will engage both the intellect and the funny bone.
Director Michael Mufson said, “It’s been a delight working with my cast of twelve talented and creative students for this expanded ensemble version of the play. The fun is infectious.”
He went on to say, “Each actor brings their own personality and sensibility to the challenge of performing all 37 plays in under two hours. It’s been a tremendous collaboration to bring out the ridiculous, comic spontaneity that makes this project fly.”
